A national agency of government ofIndia is Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority ( IRDA ). It is located at Hyderabad. It was established for the benefits of policyholders. It protect, regulate and promote the interest of policyholders and this activity helps in the growth of the insurance company. Itcomprises of a chairman and some members on permanent and part time basis.
IRDA needs experienced and dedicated personalities for the smooth functioning ofthe authority. For this it invites applications from Indian nationals for various post of Deputy Directors and Assistant Directors. Allthe following posts are for Special Recruitment Drive for candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC categories only. So candidates applying for the following positions should haveall the basic qualifications as mentioned in the main advertisement. Last date to apply is 7th November 2011 by sending an application form in a prescribed format.

1. Sr. Joint Director /Joint Director – 1 post – (IT)
2. Deputy Director – 2 post – (IT)
3. Deputy Director – 1 post – (Life)
4. Deputy Director – 1 post – (Non Life)
5. Deputy Director – 1 post – (Health)
6. Assistant Director– 4post – (IT)
7. Assistant Director– 1post – (Life)
8. Assistant Director– 1post – (Non Life)
9. Assistant Director– 1post – (Health)
Age limit : Candidates applying for the post of Deputy Director should not be more than 45 years while for Assistant directorscandidates age shouldbe less than 35 years.
Qualification : Graduation with Fellow of Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai along with 12 years of relevant experience is requiredfor the post of DeputyDirectors. For post of Assistant Directors [ General ], candidates should be graduate inLaw along with fellow of Insurance Institute of India and also should have 3 years of experience. Candidates applying for Assistant Director [ IT ] should posses the degree of B.Tech in IT/ CS/ ECE with minimum 3 years of experience. For Assistant Directors [ Accounts ], candidatesshould be a Associate of Chartered Accountants of India. 5 papers of institute of actuaries of India with 3 years of relevant experience isrequired for Assistant Director [ Actuarial ].
After screening the application form, selected candidates will be called for written exam, interview. Written test will be held at Hyderabad for a duration of 3 hours and will be of 100 marks.
